Privacy Policy

This policy describes how the Co‑founder Finder Chrome Extension and companion web dashboard ("Service") operated by Persist Ventures ("we", "us") collects and uses information.

Data We Collect

• User‑provided data: account info (name, email) and feedback you submit.
• Public page data you save: profile text snippets and URLs from the page you are viewing after you click the extension button.
• Technical data: app version, device/browser, and error logs for reliability.
• Authentication: session/JWT tokens to keep you signed in.

We do not collect passwords, payment info, private messages, or your general browsing history.

How We Collect

Using the activeTab permission, the extension reads the current tab only after a clear user action (clicking the extension icon). It captures publicly visible profile content that you choose to save. Optional backend APIs sync your saved profiles across devices and enable search.

How We Use Data

• Provide core features: save, deduplicate, search, and display profiles you saved.
• Maintain reliability, prevent abuse, and improve relevance and user experience.
• Communicate important service updates and support.

Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We may use contracted service providers (hosting, analytics, error logging) to process data on our behalf, and we may disclose data as required by law or to protect rights and safety.

Storage & Retention

Data is stored securely on infrastructure in Azure. We retain data while your account is active and delete or anonymize it upon request or when no longer needed.

Your Controls

• View, export, or delete your saved profiles in the dashboard.
• Request account deletion by contacting persist.extension.dev@gmail.com.
• You may revoke permissions or uninstall the extension at any time.

Permissions Disclosure

• activeTab: read the current tab only after user click to capture public profile content you choose to save.
• storage: store user preferences, session, and saved items.
• No broad host permissions are declared.

Children

Not intended for children under 13 (or applicable age in your region).

Security

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS) and access controls. No method is 100% secure.

International Transfers

Where required, appropriate safeguards (e.g., SCCs) are used for cross‑border data processing.

Changes

We may update this policy. We will post changes here and, where required, notify you.
